Upgrading Linux Dist
I recently upgraded the server I'm running meta llama 3.1 8B instruct on to Fedora 39. Afterwards I tried running a simple chat script from the command line and I encountered a lot of errors about loading modules, and some of the modules I used were just gone. I reinstalled them with pip, then tried again and got similar messages. The upgrade installed a newer version of python and it was looking in the wrong place for those packages. I tried running the python3.10 and got a similar issue. Then I tried running Python3.12 and everything was back to normal.
Hugging face doesn't have a community search field that I can find, so I'm not sure if anyone has encountered this issue before. I thought I would just mention it here in case someone else has an issue after an upgrade,,, at the same time, I'm feeling like everyone already knows this, so apologies for not being very good at using google searched to find the answers.
