Van Edremit district is a tourism city located on the shores of Lake Van. There is a model of Akdamar Church on the lake shore and in the lake. Van Edremit marina is also located in this region. You can travel to Akdamar Island by boats departing from the Gevaş coast. The seagull population in the lake is quite high.
