How private is HuggingChat?
Hi.
I remember in the earlier days of HuggingChat, there was an option in the application settings to opt out of our conversations being sent to model authors. Now, there is no such option, and the only info available is that privacy by design is endorsed.
Can you please clarify what that means?
1)Is conversation data sent to model authors, or not?
2) Are our conversations themselves used to train AI models somehow?
3)Does deleting a conversation remove it from wherever it's stored, or does it merely disappear for us?
4)Are the system prompts we use private?
Would be grateful if someone could clarify. Thanks!
- No
- No
- They're deleted from our DB and can't be recovered. (no soft-delete)
- Like the conversations, stored in the DB but not used for any other purposes.
Hope that helps ๐
Any privacy policy changes to the above?
Nope!
What about tools? Will the creator of the tools have access to our data (images, text)?
